FAQ & resources
Answers about registration, buyer qualification, the sale process, and how NLEX protects sensitive data.
Registration
How do I register with NLEX?
Complete the registration form and submit the required application materials, including business and background information. NLEX reviews each application once all required materials and documentation are received.
Who can register and participate?
Only businesses may register and participate in loan sales offered through NLEX — consumer transactions are prohibited. Certain sellers may require additional bidder qualifications for their sales.
Buyer Access
How does buyer qualification work?
Create a business account, execute the required documents and an NDA, and submit the required application materials. NLEX completes a qualification review including background verification. Once approved, eligible offerings unlock; certain sellers may require additional approval.
Do I need to log in to see current offerings?
Yes. Offering details are shared only with registered buyers. If you are not yet registered, you will be directed to create an account.
What information is available for review?
Availability depends on the seller and portfolio. Most sales include a masked data file, data summaries and stratifications, sample account documents, and the purchase & sale template.
Sale Process
What is a loan sale advisor?
A loan sale advisor represents debt holders — banks, creditors, and other institutions — in marketing and selling receivable portfolios to qualified buyers, managing strategy, due diligence, and execution end to end.
How does a portfolio sale work?
NLEX evaluates the portfolio, prepares diligence materials, markets it to a qualified buyer network, manages qualified bidding, and coordinates closing — with post-sale support after award.
What sale formats does NLEX use?
Portfolios are offered through several formats, including sealed bid, live bid, and private auctions, depending on the seller and the portfolio.
Does a buyer premium apply?
A buyer premium may apply to certain auctions, due in addition to the asset purchase price. The auction flyer and diligence materials disclose if a premium applies — review all sale information before bidding.
Selling
How do I sell a portfolio through NLEX?
Start a seller conversation and NLEX will analyze your data, recommend a sale strategy and pooling, build diligence materials, and run a targeted marketing process — handling every detail from evaluation through close.
How is seller identity protected?
Portfolio marketing uses masked data, and seller identity is disclosed only where appropriate and approved. All buyers operate under executed non-disclosure agreements.
What does NLEX handle in a sale?
Presale analysis and pricing, asset pooling, a targeted marketing plan, bidder due diligence materials, bid management, and closing coordination — plus post-sale support.
Security
What security standards govern data handling?
NLEX has completed a SOC 2 security audit and is an RMAI Certified Broker, with controlled access, masked diligence materials, and NIST framework-aligned activity tracking appropriate to sensitive financial data.
How is sensitive data protected?
Access is role-based and document exchange is controlled. Diligence materials are masked, and unmasked data is released only at the appropriate stage under NDA and seller approval.
