How do I register?
Potential users must complete the required registration forms, execute the NLEX non-disclosure agreement and provide all requested background verification information. NLEX will review the application once all required information and documentation is received – we will not review an incomplete application. The approval process may take up to, and sometimes more than, a week to complete depending on the specifics of the information provided. Does it cost anything to register as a buyer?
NLEX does not currently charge a fee to register. NLEX may, however, charge a buyer premium in connection with certain auctions, which will be due in addition to the applicable asset purchase price. The auction flyer and due diligence materials will disclose if a buyer premium applies. Please carefully review all sale information prior to placing a bid.

What portfolio information will be available for review?
The information available for review will depend on the seller and the portfolio. Most sales, however, will include a masked data file, data summaries, sample account holder documents and the purchase and sale template.

Will I be purchasing debt direct from the issuer?
In most cases, yes. The majority of portfolios listed through NLEX are sold direct from banks, credit unions, telecomm companies and other credit originators. If you are the winning bidder and the seller accepts your offer, your company will execute a purchase and sale agreement direct with the seller. NLEX may also offer portfolios on behalf of various debt buyers and other resellers, in which case a purchase and sale agreement will be executed with the reseller.
